Protected Space Without Sacrificing Productivity
Blast-resistant modules provide protected, functional workspace for personnel and essential site activities in potentially hazardous industrial environments. BRMs available for delivery throughout District Of Columbia can support both short-term projects and longer-term operations while allowing teams to work closer to active areas and maintain efficient day-to-day workflows.
How BRMs support industrial operations ✓ Personnel Protection: Provide protected occupied space closer to active work areas ✓ Operational Flexibility: Support offices, break rooms, meeting spaces, control functions, and project teams ✓ Scalable Capacity: Begin with a single BRM or connect multiple units as workforce requirements grow ✓ Site-Ready Options: Select standard floor plans or configure a unit for specialized project needs |
Most Hunter Onsite blast-resistant modules can be delivered using a roll-off trailer, helping reduce installation logistics and eliminating the need for a crane for many standard placements.
Protection Built for the Way You Work
A blast-resistant module should do more than provide physical protection. It should give personnel a functional, comfortable place to work while supporting the facility’s daily operations. Hunter Onsite BRMs combine documented blast ratings with finished interiors, electrical service, communications capabilities, lighting, and climate control for a professional onsite workspace.
From initial unit selection and delivery through onsite service, relocation, and project completion, Hunter Onsite provides support throughout the rental lifecycle. Our team helps industrial customers in District Of Columbia manage changing workforce, site, and project requirements while keeping critical work moving safely and efficiently.
What Guidelines Apply to Blast-Resistant Modules?
There is no single rating or configuration that makes a blast-resistant module appropriate for every facility. BRM selection and placement should be based on a site-specific hazard assessment, the module’s engineered blast rating, intended occupancy and applicable facility requirements.
The American Petroleum Institute provides widely recognized recommended practices for managing hazards associated with buildings at process facilities:
API RP 752 addresses permanent process-plant buildings and certain portable buildings intended for long-term use in a fixed location.
API RP 753 addresses portable buildings located at process plants.
These recommended practices consider risks associated with explosions, fires and toxic-material releases. Facility owners and their qualified safety and engineering professionals are responsible for determining the appropriate building type, rating and location for each application.
